Tim Willits
From Quake Wiki
Controversy[edit]
In 2017 Willits claimed to have invented deathmatch-only maps[1]. His claims were quickly rebutted by John Romero[2], with other developers supporting the dismissal. American McGee calling him a "serial credit thief" [3], later posting a detailed post on Facebook[4]. John Carmack told Shacknews that he trusted Romero's saying in the matter[5]. Ex-id developer Christian Antkow tweeted sarcastically wondering what Willits would make up next[6]. Tom Hall tweeted in support of Romero's post[7].
Willits later posted a short video of some map fragments for some reason[8].
