Tips: The mighty Chthon can't be harmed by conventional weapons. He hurls explosive lava balls that explode small and are easy to run away from in Easy difficulty, but if you're playing on Hard, you will have to use some fancy footwork to avoid his path-predicting aim. His lair has a trap set up that you will have to use to kill him. Go up the elevator, and press the two floorplate buttons on either side of Chthon to lower the lightning trap. You will need to lower both to hit him. Then, go back to the third button, in front of him, and step on it send a powerful lightning bolt surging between the two pillars. Hopefully with Chthon in the middle. It will only take one zap to kill him on Easy difficulty, otherwise you'll need to do it three times (each time you zap him the pillars go back up).
