OQPlus (Open Quartz Plus) is a Free data replacement project licensed under the GNU GPL v2. It is a fork of Open Quartz for the reasons seen in the Criticism section.
Unlike Open Quartz, it is designed for optimal rendering/memory efficiency and compatibility with all source ports (that do not restrict the data). It also has a goal of replacing every texture used in Quake's maps.
Criticism[edit]
Although it does not have a public release and little was shown of it, some people speculate it may be anime-styled or over-sexualized and that it won't capture the original atmosphere well.
