Rules for using entity_lightning.
+
There really is only one way to use this entity and it can be a little tricky. The entity tells the game engine to turn two doors into electrodes and then to send an electrical "Zap" between the two of them. They both must have the target set to "lightning" for event_lightning to know that they are electrodes. They must also be at the same horizontal plane or the trigger will not go off.
1) The event_lightning will only activate when both of the attached door entities are stopped (open or closed).

2) The lightning is 100% horizontal so if one door/electrode is off in the horizontal plane by even one unit it won't work.
+
In the released Romero map files these are the attributes of all of the elements for event_lightning as used in e1m7.

3) The lightning will go diagonal in the horizontal plane.
